New Delhi, Nov 14 (ANI): Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ has been embroiled in controversies since day one. While the film fraternity and fans stand by Bhansali, who has time and again issued apologies and even added a video stating that he will not showcase anything which can be demeaning to the culture, has finally added one more to his support and it’s none other than Salman Khan. While talking to a leading daily, the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor finally spoke on the ‘Padmavati’ row, and stated, “I want to say that you have Censor Board there to take a decision. Sanjay [Leela Bhansali] makes very beautiful and excellent films. His films never have any vulgarity. Looking at his previous track record, one should know that he will never portray any character in bad light.” Bhansali being an immensely amazing director would never show anyone in a bad light, let alone culture, such is the beauty of his filmmaking. He also urged that people should let Censor Board (CBFC) take the ultimate course of action. Salman has previously worked with Bhansali in three films including, ‘Khamoshi: The Musical’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, and ‘Saawariya’. ‘Padmavati’ stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in titular roles and is slated to release on December 1.
