New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’, which has been facing protests and bans in India, has been cleared by British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) without any cuts for the UK audience. The BBFC has passed the film for its official release on December 1 in the United Kingdom. The BBFC took to their Twitter account and wrote, “PADMAVATI (12A) moderate violence, injury.” The British censor board has given the film a ‘12A’ rating that mandates the film cannot be viewed by a child under the age of 12 unless accompanied by an adult. The film's producers, however, said it will not be screened in British theatres before it is cleared in India. The movie featuring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh is in the eye of a storm following protests from various conservative groups over alleged tampering with historical facts. The new release date of ‘Padmavati’ is yet to be announced.
