Video Description

Baking a cake from scratch will not be daunting from this New Year. Bake this simple, delicious and delightful chocolate and raisin cake filled with walnuts which is great to have at tea time. Ingredients: All purpose flour - 225gm Baking powder - 1 1/4tsp Baking soda - 1/4 tsp Softened butter - 175gm Light Brown sugar - 100gm Eggs - 4 Chocolate chips - 200gm Raisins - 100gm Walnuts - 50gm Orange rind - 1 tsp Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp A pinch of Salt Method: 1. Cream the butter and sugar well. 2. Add baking soda, baking powder and a pinch of salt to all-purpose flour. 3. Whisk 4 eggs and add it to the creamed mixture and beat well. 4. Add the flour and ½ tsp. of vanilla essence to the mixture and beat well to get the batter. 5. Add 1 tsp. orange rind, raisins, chocolate chips and chopped walnuts to the batter. 6. Line the loaf tin with butter paper, and fill it with the batter and cut a wedge at the center. 7. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes or at 160 degrees for an hour.
