Kochi, Sep 11 (ANI): India plans to devise a healthcare scheme for senior citizens from unclaimed funds lying with the central government, said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. There is an unclaimed corpus of about 9,000 crores (rupees 90 billion) with the government. Asia's third-largest economy spends about one percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) on public health, compared with three percent in China and 8.3 percent in the United States. Indian states manage their health budgets separately. Jaitley added the state would provide a helping hand to needy.
