Kohora, Oct 14 (ANI): Officials arrested two people including a forest guard after recovering tiger skin from their possession in Assam. The accused identified as Abdul Jalil and his son Kasem Ali were arrested from Kohora region of Kaziranga National Park. A third accused is on the run. Officials said that the skin was of a tiger suspected to have been poisoned recently in the Karbi Anglong region. Apart from the skin, forest officials also recovered bones of the mammal. Authorities of the national park, famous for its one-horned rhinos, have been struggling to protect the animals from poachers for many years. Kaziranga boasts the highest density of tigers among the protected areas in the world and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. The national park has registered death of 16 tigers due to natural reasons since 2011. While six tigers had died of natural reasons in 2011, four died in 2012, five in 2013 and one in 2014.
