New Delhi, Oct 16 (ANI): Politicians reacted on Friday after the Supreme Court struck down the National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC) for the appointment of judges and dubbed it as "unconstitutional." The apex court also upheld the collegium system for the appointment of judges. Reacting on the same, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the government will go through the judgment and come up with a structured response. Meanwhile, Law Minister DV Sadananda Gowda said that he will go through the text and talk to the law officers, senior colleagues and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then they will decide their next step. Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that his party would examine in detail the Supreme Court's decision, adding that there is dearth of accountability, transparency and fixation of responsibility in the existing collegiums system.
