Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 19 (ANI): Police arrested six persons for allegedly running an online sex racket in Thiruvananthapuram city of Kerala. Two of the accused have been identified as Rahul and Rashmi, who were also the organizers of ‘Kiss of Love’ protest- a mass display of affection in which people kissed openly in defiance of more accepted, chaste public behavior- in Kochi last year. The other accused include three men and a woman. The racket was busted by police after the Child Rights Commission lodged a complaint against a page on social networking site Facebook, ‘Kochu Sundarikal’, for promoting and facilitating paedophilia. Initial probe in this case led the police to unearthing the larger racket. Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Crime Branch, S Sreejith, said that the police also rescued three minors including the six-year-old son of Rahul and Rashmi. Under the operation called ‘Operation Big Daddy’, the police was assisted by cyber police and it was found that the accused were running several websites where they solicited sex in exchange for money.
