Video Description

New Delhi, Jan 04 (ANI): A day after terrorists attacked the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot where seven defence personnel have been martyred, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj held meetings with former foreign secretaries and envoys to Pakistan. The meeting chaired by Swaraj in New Delhi was attended by retired high commissioner to Pakistan, T.C.A Raghavan, former foreign secretary Shyam Saran, and Satinder Lambah and Shivshankan Menon among others. Local media reports said the meeting, which was held to discuss India's strategy concerning Pakistan, came a week after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an unscheduled visit to Islamabad and met his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in an effort to revive talks between the nuclear-armed neighbours. Though details of the meeting were not disclosed, it was termed as 'diplomatic consultations on Pakistan strategy'.
