New Delhi, Oct 31 ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday flagged off the ‘Run for Unity’ from the Dhyan Chand National Stadium in the national capital. The Prime Minister also released a commemorative stamp at the programme and administered the ‘Ekta’ pledge to the people. The week-long 'Run for Unity' will continue across different parts of the nation to mark the 141st birth anniversary of India’s first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The BJP-led NDA Government had decided to observe the day (31st October) as ‘Ekta Diwas’ last year. Along with the Prime Minister, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung were present at the venue.
