Human Rights Commission Issues Notice To Tn Govt. Over Doctors Diagnosing Tumour As Pregnancy
Chennai, Nov 25 (ANI): The Human Rights Commission has issued notice to Tamil Nadu government after reports of a 28-year-old woman, having a tumour was said to be pregnant, started making rounds. Terming the episode as a classic case of medical negligence, the Commission said it failed to understand how the doctors were unable to notice even the physical growth of the baby for eight months. Stating that women were still deprived of right to get genuine treatment at state-run hospitals, the Human Rights Commission said correct diagnosis is the human right of a patient.
