Video Description

Bhatinda (Punjab), Mar 17: Balwinder Singh, a 42-year-old Indian in the U.S., has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for plotting terror attacks in India. He was convicted for providing material support and resources to the Khalistan Movement in India.Balwinder Singh was constantly making plans to carry out an attack of large magnitude in India but his plans were foiled when he was arrested by law enforcement agencies in the United States.US Attorney General Daniel Bogden said Singh, a resident of Reno, was a member of two terrorist groups and provided material support to intimidate the Indian government and to harm persons who were not supporting the groups' cause. He also said this case is an example of multi-law enforcement agencies working collaboratively to protect the United States and its allies from terrorist acts.Pakistan and its intelligence agency ISI-backed pro-Khalistani leaders have long been operating from various geographical locations across the world.Even after the constant and relentless efforts of various forces across border to divide India. Khalistan movement has suffered a huge setback in last few years as there are no takers of this secessionist ideology in the state of Punjab.
