Ludhiana (Punjab), May 11 (ANI): The Punjab traffic police have taken a new step to upgrade their surveillance system by adopting a body-worn camera in Punjab's Ludhiana district. This came into practice after complaints of misbehavior and bribery against the traffic police from the people were received. Reportedly, the traffic police too objected the misdemeanor and indiscipline of the drivers. This body camera would serve the purpose of recording each and every activity taking place on the streets in order to reduce the indiscipline. Apparently, Ludhiana is the first place where this step has been initiated with 5 cameras being used on trial basis and its success would decide its application in other cities of Punjab.
