Haridwar (Uttarakhand), May 15 (ANI): These are the visuals of the mighty Ganga River flowing in Haridwar in Uttarakhand where people take holy bath on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. No matter a devotee is a Hindu, Buddhist follower, Muslim or belonging to any other community, everyone took a dip at the holy Ganga River. Similar scenes of brotherhood were witnessed in Himachal Pradesh too. Thousands of Buddhist followers, monks and people of other communities thronged Shimla. Tibetan monks living in India started the day by offering their prayers at the ‘Jonang Takten Phuntsok Choeling’ monastery at Panthaghati near Shimla. The Buddhist Monks believe to carry forward non-violent preaching and a peaceful life. Monks were happy to see the sight of people from different religions of the country coming together as one to celebrate.
