New Delhi, July 24 (ANI): England's women cricket team staged a comeback and beat India by nine runs in the thrilling finale of ICC World Cup 2017. India's Poonam Raut scored blasting 86 runs, but as soon as the 27-year-old opener fell lbw to Shrubsole , the entire inning crashed like a deck of cards. People from all across the country complimented the Indian ladies for their splendid performances. Though they lost the final match, but they surely did win hearts!. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took Twitter to encourage the team. He wrote: "Our women cricketers gave their best today. They've shown remarkable tenacity and skill through the World Cup. Proud of the team". BCCI Acting President CK Khanna stated that the teams have achieved a milestone and now everyone would see the Indian women skippers with great respect. Minister of State (MoS) for Sports, Vijay Goel, stated that the team will receive a grand welcome once it returns to homeland. The Indian team entered into the finals beating the top three teams, Australia, England and New Zealand.
